It has been almost two years since Count Dankula managed to avoid jail time following his racist pug’s Sieg Heil.

This may be old news, but the horrifying racism of a heartless Pug has haunted me since I’ve seen the video.

What stunned me the most about this whole debacle was the simple fact that NO ONE was talking about the rise in hate-filled dogs.

Just the thought of these little bastards shaking at the sight of anyone who isn’t cis, white, or male… It makes my blood boil. I feel like I am hell, dying in the flames of Dante’s inferno, all the while a pack of Sieg Heiling pugs watch as my flesh melts off my bones like a delicious and juicy rack of ribs.

Do you honestly think this is not a part of bigger problem? Stop and ask yourself: Am I interacting with racists? Better yet: am I enabling these little terrorists with treats and cuddles?

They may charm you with a few licks here and there, or lovingly affectionate eyes, but maybe it’s time to check your privilege. Are you Jewish? Are you African American? Are you Indigenous? No? Well, it looks like the dogs in your life might be racist.

Racist dogs were first brought to my attention in the summer of ’18, a tiny dog at the beach would bark his head off at any person of colour (POC). However, it remained silent when it saw me and my friend dripping with lake water and white privilege.

We are going through an EPIDEMIC.

Racist dogs have penetrated the homes of every god-fearing SUPPOSED ‘pet owner’. Perhaps you aren’t a pet owner, as much as you are a bystander of racism. A lover of racism.

I am just so SICK of white people for allowing their dogs to become RACIST! How can you call yourself an ally when all you do is idly standby while your racist dog growls at minorities.

In fact, just this weekend my friend’s dog would keep lifting its paw up. Before you say anything, NO it was not hurt and NO I didn’t ask for its paw. It just did it. It looked me dead in the eyes and Seig Heiled. I was in complete shock. Even rescue dogs have been infected with this virus? I thought, as a single tear rolled down my cheek. The virus, of course, was hate.
